DIY Fairy Lamp

Lamps are great décor pieces. Putting small lamps here and there just makes your home look aesthetically enhanced. Be it the brass metal kinds, the paper ones, the ceramic ones or anything else, lamps just work beautifully! What can make it more attractive is if it is a DIY project. DIYs let you create what is exactly needed for the setup. Suit it to your needs, add the elements that go with the look and tada! you have a beauty right there!

So, when we decided to set up the creative station, we thought of having a lamp that suits the aesthetics i.e. is cute and girly and will hence complete the look. So, let us go through the step-by-step tutorial of this fairy light lamp.

Supplies needed: An old transparent plastic box with lid, Black paper, scissors, fevicol, glitter of your choice of colour, String rope, LED string.

Step 1: Assemble all the supplies as have been mentioned.

Step 2: Use an old transparent plastic box with lid.

Step 3: Use black paper to make fairy cut out. Stick it on the inside of the box. Create more such cut outs like we have created stars and stick them too.

Step 4: Apply fevicol on the inside of the box leaving the fairy and stars because you won’t want glitter on them. Now sprinkle the glitter of your choice. Lastly, tap to remove excess glitter to avoid the mess.

Step 5: Use a string rope, tie it around the top of the box and create a loop that can be used to hang the lamp as has been shown in the pic.

Step 6: Now make a small hole in the center of the lid of the box to put in the led string. Stick the cock battery to the center.

Step 7: Turn on the led string and your lamp is ready!
