An Apron - Lockdown Father's Day Gift

We have all been in this lockdown together, trying to come out stronger than ever! Each and every family member has tried to help each other to manage the daily household work and being there for each other in every way. In our society, however evolving, men are still not really accustomed to working at home and doing household chores. One amazing outcome of these unique circumstances is the immense help men in many families have come up with.

The most loved role they have taken up is that of a chef. Now that many families have been avoiding eating outside food, everybody has been craving unique dishes and fathers have played a perfect role of the “The Lockdown Chef”! So, this Father’s Day we came up with this unique father’s day gift idea of an apron for all our beloved Lockdown Chefs!

Supplies Needed: Apron, Fabric colours, White sheet, Carbon paper, Paint Brush, Stationery

Step 1: Take an apron and measure the size in width above the pocket area to analyze how much area do we have to write the caption.

Step 2: Write the caption on a white sheet of paper and then trace it on the apron on the decided position with the help of a carbon sheet.

Step 3: After tracing the caption on the apron, draw a spatula and a rolling pin on either side of the word “Chef” as shown in the image.

Step 4: Colour the caption with dark blue fabric colour.

Step 5: Paint the shadow of the caption with red fabric colour. Colour the outline, that we drew for spatula and rolling pin in step 3, with brown fabric colour. Add highlights to these outlines with black fabric colour. Everything as shown in the image.

Step 6: Paint vegetables and cherry free hand. Then add highlights in the complete artwork with black and white fabric colours. Everything as shown in the image.
